The Young Cross 5 is tailored for children. A lightweight, easy-mount, 24” aluminium frame design ensures the bike is super easy to manoeuvre and cycle. Combined with child-focused ergonomics and components such as saddle, brake levers and even crank length, children will quickly grow in confidence when riding. And thanks to its bold and exciting electronic yellow colourway, the Young Cross 5 looks cool too.
Utilising the all-new MAHLE X30 drive unit, the Young Cross 5 is truly brought to life. The new MAHLE X30 consists of motor, 237 Wh battery, HMI (human machine Interface) and other components. The motor is a robust and functional unit that maintains the light, sport and intelligent DNA characteristic of all MAHLE products, offering both balanced and versatile assistance. With its 45 Nm of torque, the hub drive motor provides great performance on any terrain and weighs just 1.9kg. 
The new MAHLE X30 is also compatible with all the components, accessories and digital environment of the MAHLE X20 system, which means that the complete system can be equipped with Pulsar ONE, eShifters, HMI and External Battery eX1 (e185).
Equipped with the RST First 24 air fork, with 80mm of suspension travel, the Young Cross 5 delivers a smooth and reliable ride. With Tektro two-piston disc brakes, eight-speed SRAM X4 drivetrain, plus 24” wheels shod with Schwalbe Billy Bonkers tyres, it’s the perfect bike for young riders.
Tipping the scales at only 14.6kg, the allowed total weight of bike and rider at 100kg makes the Young Cross 5 best in class.
